Andhra Pradesh: 8 feared dead in stampede at Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow in Nellore district
8 people were feared dead in a stampede-like situation at Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow in Nellore district, NDTV reported.
According to a report by the news agency ANI, a scuffle broke out between party workers during a public meeting organized by Naidu. The injured workers were admitted to the hospital.
Naidu canceled his roadshow, the mishap ensued, and rushed to a hospital in the Kandukur area where the injured workers are being treated.
Meanwhile, Naidu has announced financial assistance of 10 crores to the families of the deceased. His TDP party will educate the victims’ children in NTR Trust educational institutions.
