For the last occasion of his day Wednesday on his excursion to Israel, President Joe Biden visited the country’s public Holocaust dedication, the Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem, and talked personally with two American Holocaust survivors.

The visit was a grave one. Biden was welcome to “revive” the timeless fire and lay a wreath on the section of marble under which the remains of Holocaust casualties from the death camps are covered.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken, whose stepfather, Samuel Pisar, was a Holocaust survivor, likewise partook in the occasion. He likewise welcomed the survivors with Biden, investing some energy addressing them.

As the gathering left, Biden recounted a work of art “Bidenism,” telling the ladies, “My mom would agree, ‘God love you, dear’ and was seen on camera pantomiming blowing a kiss as he went up the steps.
