Construction of first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi begins

Mureikhah, near the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway.The stones for the sanctuary will be cut by sanctuary craftsmans in India and gathered in the UAE.

The plan to construct the sanctuary in the UAE’s capital was supported by the Abu Dhabi government during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s most memorable visit to the country in 2015.
