Delhi Police Commissioner Balaji Srivastava felicitated beat officer Constable Narender Kumar of PS New Delhi Railway Station on June 6 for his honesty and sincere efforts. On June 30, Ct Narender while patrolling on the platforms of Shivaji Bridge Railway Station found an unattended bag containing Rs 1 lakh cash along with personal documents. After a while he contacted the owner, a 54-year-old labourer who had left it behind while boarding train. Labourer had withdrawn his life saving for construction of house. For the honesty and sincere efforts, Delhi Police presented a commendation roll with cash reward of Rs. 20,000 to Ct Narender Kumar in front of the top police brass of Delhi at Vimarsh conference hall, police Headquarters.
