The trial run of imported luxury boat was conducted successfully on the outskirts of Srinagar in the Jhelum river. The bus boat with fiberglass body and massive windows is equipped with music system and air condition. Speedboat can accommodate 30 passengers. With this, J&K’s Water Transport Authority aims to revive water transportation culture in the valley. The project is a part of Centre’s Swadesh Darshan scheme funded under Prime Minister’s Development Program.
