Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes Spark Dating Speculation Cuddling at a Football Game: Photo
New pair on our 2023 bingo card? Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes sparked dating speculation months after she finalized her divorce from Morgan Evans.
“Lil recap,” the Outer Banks star, 30, captioned the photo dump on Instagram on Friday, Jan. 13. His third photo of the carousel shows Stokes and Ballerini, 29, cuddling from the seats at College Football. National Championship Playoffs.

Stokes wore a flannel shirt and a black baseball cap while the “Peter Pan” singer sat next to him. While the photo only showed the back of their heads, the Tell Me Your Secrets alum tagged Ballerini’s Instagram account.
The pair watched the Georgia Bulldogs take home the win against the TCU Horned Frogs during a game on Sunday, January 8th. However, the Tennessee native did not root for either college team. “Go vols 🙈,” Ballerini responded to Stokes’ post, referring to the University of Tennessee’s own team.
Two days earlier, Stokes commented on the singer’s photo on Instagram. “Could you please add hot sake to the list in slide 8, please, with a side of burnt fingertips?” he wrote on Wednesday, Jan. 11, linking to a photo of himself eating Del Taco.
While neither Ballerini nor Stokes has addressed their relationship publicly, their sporting outing comes months after the “Heartfirst” singer and Evans, 37, announced their split.
“Friends, I’ve always tried my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way while protecting the layers of my personal life as they unfold,” Ballerini wrote via her Instagram story in August 2022. This is now public. record so I wanted you to hear straight from me that I am going through a divorce. … This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth and effort that has finally come to an end.”
The “Hole in the Bottle” artist and the Aussie, who married in 2017, reached a divorce settlement in November and have been honest and looking to move on ever since.
“It’s been a rough couple of months in my life,” Evans told Access Hollywood later that month at CMA 2022. “One of the hardest parts [going through the divorce] is how alone I feel. It’s strangely comforting to know that so many other people have gone through this than me.”
Stokes, for his part, last dated his Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline from April 2020 to November 2021.
“He’s one of my favorite people on planet Earth,” the Between the Waves actor told Us Weekly exclusively a month later, revealing that they’re still in touch despite the split. “You know, it’s amazing to work with someone you care about. So much and yes, I’ll leave it at that.”
