The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued ‘severe weather’ warning for Mumbai for next 5 days, including Red alert in the city for June 9 and orange alert for the next 4 days. Monsoon arrived in Mumbai on June 9, a day before its expected arrival in the city. Several streets and roads were waterlogged in Mumbai after heavy rains across the city since morning. Vehicular movement and local train services were disrupted due to heavy rains across Mumbai and several parts of Maharashtra.
