Nushrat Bharucha: The ‘Dream Girl’ who took a big ‘Chhalaang’ in Bollywood

Nushrat Bharucha (Nushrratt Bharuccha) is a model and actress.

She made her small screen debut with TV serial ‘Kittie Party’ (2002).

She made her Bollywood debut with Dibakar Banerjee-directorial ‘LSD: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha’ in 2010.

Nushrat was shortlisted to play the female lead in Danny Boyle’s Oscar-winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ (2008), but was rejected as she didn’t look like a girl from slums.

Nushrat was born in a Dawoodi Bohra Muslim family in Mumbai on May 17, 1985.

Tanvir, Nushrat’s father, is a businessman and Tasneem, her mother, is a housewife.
