PM Modi’s bonhomie with Japanese PM Kishida while relishing ‘golgappe’!

Visiting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida sampled delicious Indian cuisine with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Prime Minister Kishida tried the delicious ‘golgappe’, ‘lassi’ and ‘aam panna’ during his visit to Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi.
The video was also shared by PM Modi on Facebook. The caption of the video reads: “My friend Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida enjoyed Gol-Gappas.”

PM Modi also explained the recipe of ‘lassi’, a famous drink. The video shows the two leaders enjoying the popular delicacy.

The Japanese Prime Minister arrived in New Delhi to explore ways to strengthen bilateral ties in a number of areas, including defense and security, trade and investment and high technology.

According to PTI, in their later talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Kishida are also set to discuss the priorities of India’s G20 presidency and Japan’s G7 presidency.

The Japanese prime minister is expected to unveil his plan for a “free and open Indo-Pacific” during the visit, focusing on India’s increasingly prominent role in the region. The evolving situation in the Indo-Pacific against the backdrop of China’s growing military assertiveness is also likely to figure in the extensive talks between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Kishida.

The Japanese Prime Minister’s visit is expected to last approximately 27 hours.
