The newly appointed Congress president of Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu was shown black flags in Punjab’s Nawanshahr on July 20 by farmers protesting against Centre’s farm laws. Sidhu had reached the Bhagat Singh Marg where farmers were protesting against the farm laws. The cricketer-turned-politician was declared as the Punjab Congress Chief (PCC) on Sunday evening after weeks of infighting and strong opposition by Amarinder Singh.
