Speaking Up for the Voiceless: The Street Dog that Was Beaten to Death in Delhi

In a heart-wrenching video of animal cruelty that emerged from Delhi’s Sarita Vihar on Friday, two men can be seen brutally beating a street dog. The dog reportedly died as a result of its injuries.

The two men were identified as Vinod Kumar and Lekhpal.

The incident was tweeted by an NGO called People For Animals in India. In its post, the NGO claims that the police are not taking any action against the culprits and has asked citizens for help.

In the video, a man is seen holding a long stick and beating a street dog without showing an iota of mercy. At the start of this video, a dog can be seen sleeping on the side of the road and a man holding a stick standing just behind the animal.

As soon as the dog wakes up and moves, the man starts beating the dog, which then tries to attack him. After three or four strong blows, the dog is unable to walk and another street dog comes to protect it. The man does not stop beating the dog even after it passes out and stops attacking it. The second dog leaves after a while.

Meanwhile, another man takes his stick and brutally beats the already unconscious dog until it is motionless in its limp body.
