While some find traditional clothing uncomfortable for the task, the older generation seems to wear anything and everything in a saree. In a recent video doing the rounds on the internet, an elderly woman can be seen jumping into a river allegedly for a sacred bath. She does this by donning a saree, which seems almost impossible for many others.
Among the many shares on Twitter, an IAS officer named Supriya Sahu also caught the eye of the shot, who tweeted it with the caption, “Amazed to watch these saree-clad senior women effortlessly take a dip in the Tamirabarni river at Kallidaikurichi, Tamil Nadu. they are adept at it because it is commonplace. (sic)”
