All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacted on triple talaq law. He called the law unconstitutional, adding that it demonises Muslims. “It’s against equality, demonises Muslims. Would Modi govt only celebrate Muslim Women (Rights) Day? What about the empowerment of Hindu, Dalit and OBC women?” He also added, “This law will lead to more exploitation of Muslim women and will add up to their problems. Only cases will be registered and no justice will be delivered. Muslims have not accepted it on the ground”. The country is observing Muslim Women’s Rights Day on August 1.
