Around 9:30 a.m. this Thursday, June 16, 2022, it was recorded the detonation of a motorcycle bomb in front of the police station of the municipality of Suárez, Cauca. An injured police officer is reported.

According to the first information, a motorcycle was abandoned in that sector.
Authorities arrived at the scene to check if the vehicle contained explosives. When they were verifying the situation, the motorcycle exploded, injuring a uniformed explosives officer.

The police officer was referred to a clinic in Cali.
Hours before, a motorized bomb was detonated in the urban center of the municipality of Corinto, north of Cauca.
Several houses were affected.

According to the authorities, those responsible would be members of the Farc dissidence, structure ‘Dagoberto Ramos’, in retaliation for the death of Leider Johany Noscué Bototo, alias ‘Mayimbú’.

Added to the explosion were attacks with rifle bursts that lasted more than two hours. No injuries reported.
The dissident leader, also known by the alias ‘Wilson González’, was killed in combat at dawn last Monday, June 13, in the Santa Bárbara village in Suárez, Cauca.
