Children from Baghmara village in the Bhadrak district took it upon themselves to repair a road. They collected gravels and fill the potholes with it. Bhadrak Block Development Officer Manoj Behera on July 28 assured strict action against officials who left the roadwork midway. “We have to verify the information, and action will be taken against officials if it turns out to be true. Assistant Executive Engineer will visit the site and take locals’ feedback. Soon after receiving the report, we will take steps to repair the road. Action to be taken against officials who showed negligence in executing the roadwork, if it’s true.”
