Surat resident Aisha Patel has become the first transwoman to be recognised by the Gujarat government. State government has issued an identity card to Aisha. Aisha said, “After being diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria, transformation process took me 3 years and cost me Rs 8 lakhs. I am happily living my life as a woman now”
