Four accused were arrested on June 2 in connection with brutal attack on a doctor, who was on his way for lunch, near Tarikere in Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru on May 31. Chikkamagaluru SP said that a child died recently at Chikkamagaluru hospital and their kin alleged the doctor’s involvement in the death. Meanwhile, Karnataka deputy chief minister Dr CN Ashwathnarayan said, ‘Those who take law into their hands will be dealt with as per the law and get punishment. We need to take action and send a strong message. We will take strongest possible action against those found responsible.
