Railway station building collapses as express train passes through terminal in MP’s Burhanpur district

The building of Chandani railway station collapsed in Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur district as Pushpak Express passed through the terminal on May 26 evening. Several videos of the damaged railway station building have gone viral on social media.

According to reports, Pushpak Express, which is a superfast express train, was passing between Nepanagar and Asirgarh railway stations at a speed of 110 km per hour. It passed through Chandani railway station at 4 pm on May 26, when the terminal building which was built around 14 years ago could not withstand the tremors caused by the express train’s speed and collapsed.
