A stray dog was beaten to death in Delhi’s Okhla. A complaint was filed with Delhi police after video of brutality against the stray dog went viral on social media. Taking cognisance of the viral video, Delhi police filed a case against accused persons under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act. Delhi police have identified both the accused and arrested them for their involvement in the crime.
