Ghaziabad: This video of a man washing potatoes at a sweet shop in Ghaziabad will make you think before you order another plate of samosas. The purported video is from Kumar Sweets in Ghantanagar and the video surfaced on social media on Tuesday.
In the video, a man dressed in a blue t-shirt and jeans is seen washing potatoes by stepping into a large container, and that’s not the point. The man is wearing slippers. He stands in a container full of potatoes and repeatedly steps on them in an attempt to clean them. Now whether they are getting cleaner or dirtier, you have to decide after watching the viral video:
The young people made a video
This video was made by a group of young people and they can be heard talking in the background asking each other to put the name of the store in the video. They move away from the man and proceed to capture the name of the shop– Kumar Sweets Corner. The water level in the mentioned container is also not suitable for cleaning.
The incident highlights the level of hygiene maintained by local shopkeepers. The process of washing something is meant to clean it, but the way these potatoes are washed will only give you an upset stomach or worse.
