To curb crime against women and ensure their safety, a path-breaking initiative has been taken by North-West District Police of Delhi by deploying women beat constables. The lady constables regularly perform intensive patrolling on motorcycles for quick response to crime against women in public spaces. Beat areas include JJ clusters of Jahangirpuri, Shakarpur residential areas, EU & NU blocks of Pitampura, Bhalaswa village, H & F block of Ashok Vihar, Netaji Subhash place complex & Metro Station Netaji Subhash place, Polytechnic GGS College, Club Road & Som Bazaar Now, women in the area are feeling more secure, safe with Delhi Police’s new initiative.
